Cody Rhodes Admits Roman Reigns Helped Secure His SummerSlam 2024 Victory

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, are two of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, with a rivalry that has defined WWE’s modern era for the WWE Universe. The climax of their rivalry came in the main event of WrestleMania 40 when The American Nightmare dethroned The Tribal Chief to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Cody Rhodes ‘Finished His Story’ when he defeated Reigns to win The Undisputed WWE Championship, but since then Roman Reigns did not appear on WWE Television Programming until last night’s WWE SummerSlam 2024 where The Head of the Table made his return to the WWE and helped his formal rival to retain his championship.

How did Roman Reigns help Cody Rhodes to secure a victory at WWE SummerSlam 2024?

Cody Rhodes was set to face Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2024 after the latter challenged the champion a few ago on Friday Night SmackDown. Solo Sikoa was trying to take over Roman Reigns’ position in The Bloodline, however, The Tribal Chief returned to the WWE just in time to save his throne.

After his victory at WWE SummerSlam 2024, Cody Rhdoes admitted that Roman Reigns helped him to secure his title there. The American Nightmare stated that if it wasn’t for Roman’s return, things might have gone a different way. There’s no love, or hate for Reigns as he hasn’t seen him since WrestleMania 40, and the WWE Universe wanted to see him at WWE SummerSlam 2020 which they made pretty clear during the build-up to the event.

The American Nightmare was successful in his endeavors to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules match, thanks to the surprise return of the Original Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Now, it would be interesting to see how things will change for The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes.
